Billy went on his sled for the first time at Grandma and Grandpas house. At first he was confused but then he started having fun going down the hill.

The Fall Months

Well we are halfway through the fall and so far Billy has had quite a busy couple of months. He went pumpkin picking with Grandpa, Apple picking with his friends, took swimming lessons, watched some Chicago Bears games, dressed up for Halloween and experienced the Yankees win the World Series.

Brewster weekend

Billy's Car Seat

We officially made the switch from 'infant' seat to 'toddler' seat two weeks ago. I can't believe our baby is out of the infant seat. It was sad to pack the infant seat away because it means he is growing up but he loves his new seat so much more. He didn't like laying down in the car all the time and is thrilled to be able to see out the window now. Pat and I were joking this past weekend that he's so quiet back there that we forget he's in the car. He just sits back there, looking out the window and taking it all in. Here's a picture of him in the new seat (such a cutie):

Billy is growing up faster than I would like. He's already had his first driving lesson. Here he his waving goodbye:

Billy and the lime

Billy tasted his first lime this weekend when Chris, Melissa and I went out to dinner. We hit up our favorite restaurant in Brewster, Fiesta Mexicana and Billy loved it. He was mesmerized by the singers and their guitars, the colors all over, the people around us but the highlight of the evening was when he tasted a lime for the first time. He kept reaching for the lime so we figured why not let him try it.

The response is classic!!

Swim Lessons

Billy and Mommy had their first swim lesson today. We will be taking a class every Wednesday morning for the next 6 weeks. Billy loved the water and immediately began splashing - the water in his face didn't bother him at all. He was great for the entire half hour - we sang songs and then floated in the lazy river. When he was on his back he began to kick his feet - he's a fish, just like Mommy! :-)

Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Brown came to visit and we had a great time. We did a lot of fun things and Billy loved being out and about (such a social butterfly).

While out to eat, Daddy and Billy had a bit of a wrestling match as to who would get to drink the rest of Daddy's beer. Billy put up a great fight but Daddy won. Below is the outcome of the fight.

We went to the lake where Mommy grew up and he had a great time. He LOVES the water. He was trying to tip his head back already and was up to his neck and loved it. We start swim classes the second week of September and I know he is going to love it! He is a born fish! :-)

Billy loves to hang on to things and stand on his own now. He's not yet crawling but will get on all fours for a while - he's just not sure where to go from there. I'm sure any day now he'll be crawling across the room. He has a pretty fast roll though - we put him down and before we know it he's across the room.

Catching up

Well it's been quite some time since I've updated the blog. Aunt Katie is doing a much better job than I am...thanks Katie! We have had a very busy summer so far - lots of playdates, trips to the beach, NY & Cape Cod and Billy's first vacation to OBX! Below is a brief update with pictures to keep you posted on what Billy has been up to this summer:

June 20: He hung out with his future 'Beach Bum' buddies, Kieran & Mason. He loved watching them run around and can't wait to walk so he can join them:

June 21: We celebrated Daddy's first Fathers Day! Billy gave Daddy an imprint of his hands and Daddy loved it!

June 24: Billy's first trip to the beach in Boston. He went with his buddy, Cameron, and they had a great time.
July 4: We spent the 4th of July on Plum Island in Newburyport with Billy's friends, Max & Sadie. We had another great day at the beach.

July 10: Grandma Henry came up to visit for a few days and Billy took his first boat ride to Provincetown, MA in Cape Cod. The ferry was a lot of fun and we spent the day walking around and shopping. Billy had a lot of fun people watching.
